Methodology
American International School Yangon understands that students develop 21st century academic, personal, and social skills best through active learning and differentiated instruction. Active learning encourages independence and collaboration and maintains engagement in the students. In the classroom, AIS Yangon teachers spend a minimal amount of time “speaking at” students on a topic. Instead, learning centers and group activities are utilized in the daily lessons, where teachers are able to provide differentiated instruction and support so that students of various academic levels can be challenge at their individual academic needs.
Holistic Approach & 21st Century Learning
American International School Yangonbelieves that education should develop the whole child, which includes skills needed for the 21st century, such as creativity, collaboration, critical thinking, technology literacy, and leadership.AIS Yangon has also incorporated a multiple intelligence approach to the learning. We offer four multiple intelligence programs at our school: MI English, MI Art, MI Creative Play, and MI Robotics.
